It’s hard to believe it was just one year ago that Inspired by Iceland’s Iceland Academy published this video on how to avoid hot tub awkwardness.

The destination also wanted to make sure that visitors were protected from dangerous selfies with this viral video.

Now, get ready to get to know Iceland even better and try your hand at “The Hardest Karaoke Song in the World.”

For travelers visiting Iceland or those just curious about the country, there’s no better way to get to know the language and the culture than by following Iceland Academy.

In this video, viewers will learn the “A to O” of Iceland, which is the equivalent of “A to Z” in the U.S.

The “catchy” tune is sung by visitors lending their voices to a karaoke song designed to help visitors grasp some of the more unusual pronunciations in the Icelandic language.

The song is sung by Icelandic comedian Steindi Jr., who is filmed singing the humorous lyrics in a number of stunning and iconic Icelandic destinations.

"We are always looking for ingenious ways to inspire visitors to engage with more aspects of our country and our seven regions. We have launched our new A-O campaign to explore our island using our unique language and alphabet,” said Inga Hlin Palsdottir, director of Visit Iceland.

“We know Icelandic is difficult to pronounce but through our karaoke film, we wanted to encourage visitors to have a go and also show the world we are not afraid to laugh along,” Palsdottir added.

Tourists were filmed giving the song a try. Those who want to try for themselves can find the lyrics and music on the Inspired by Iceland website or YouTube channel.
